 
Series Background
Porn consumers might assume that adult video requires little more than a camera and a willing exhibitionist -- and unfortunately, the fringes of the adult industry often do little more than that. Wet Palms, on the other hand, has been both a labor of love and an exercise in patience for two ambitious producers who saw a strategic gap in the market and had the foresight to fill it.
Jet Set Productions' Brett Drysdale, hot off the success of The Hole searches for another project that could integrate hot sexual encounters with a coherent narrative. NakedSword.com's Tim Valenti, anxious to use his expertise in new media, especially video streaming and digital delivery, ventures into production. Michael Stabile and Jack Shamama, two ersatz writers weaned on daytime serials and primetime cliffhangers submit some scripts on spec. After several meetings and revisions, a concept is born.
Drysdale comes up with a title, Wet Palms and a concept, an episodic drama based on the San Vicente Inn in West Hollywood. The Inn's unique combination of hotel and bathhouse provides a fertile narrative ground for the first gay porn soap opera. Valenti negotiates to for digital rights to Wet Palms as a series of 'webisodes' prior to their release on DVD - cementing NakedSword.com first original adult production.
From their creative toolbox, Stabile and Shamama hammer away at a series of interwoven stories revolving around a highly contested piece of land in West Hollywood - Wet Palms.
With concept in place and characters drawn, the group begins auditions and proves that porn acting need not be an oxymoron. A plethora of adult stars, adventurous mainstream actors and intrigued amateurs alike read for the roles. Many are called, few are chosen.
After months of deliberation, the cast list is announced. Michael Soldier, Rob Romoni, Brad Benton, Jason Ridge, Ethan Marc, Chad Donovan, Rod Barry, Cody Cash, Bret Wolfe, Ashton Sorenson, Paolo Cortez and a 20-year-old go-go dancer Gabriel Knight are among those signed. American Porn Star's Matthew Moore comes aboard as director.
A swarm of activity descends on the San Vicente Inn as principle photography commences in late July 2004. Seven days and 105 hours of footage later, the writers, directors, producers and stars collapse as the first three episodes of Wet Palms wrap. The crew says their goodbyes, with promises to return for the next group of episodes (filming early October). No sooner have the writers returned home than the producers again call -- new deadlines, intense promotion, an interactive website -- and the promise of a new era in adult entertainment.
Episode 4:
Brady discovers an old bottle of energy supplements while readying Wet Palms for Randall's arrival - but that isn't all that has him on edge. JP and Simon plot to reclaim their ancestral home - but at what price? Meanwhile, Lucky's perfect ass helps him makes leaps and bounds in the Bubble corporation - as a box cover model. Peter Dune questions Tucker's fidelity.
Episode 5:
Will Clark checks into Wet Palms, looking for some peace and quiet, but with Brady running around like a madman and interviewing poolboys, it's a losing battle. Tucker gets a lead on a Jett family scandal from an unlikely source and takes off to investigate. Meanwhile, mysterious information broker Adonis Alexandros calls upon lowly Jett Setter editorial assistant Joey Pole to settle a score with Simon Jett. JP, with some urging from Jason Curious, bribes Todd Marlowe for some information on Lucky Hanson.
Episode 6:
Brady begins losing control as Simon and JP Jett announce a takeover of Wet Palms. Adonis Alexandros's blackmail scheme puts Joey Pole in a compromising position. Todd Marlowe, spurned by Peter Dune, stalks him while Tucker searches for more dirt on the Jett brothers. The residents of Wet Palms gather after an eviction notice is posted. Randall Jett arrives from Zurich with a surprising announcement.
