How To Get A Man In Bed (DVD)

Sam Abdul and Forum Studios strike again with the big release of the summer. How To Get A Man In Bed credits itself as being both entertaining and educational as the viewer is taken through a series of different scenarios where a man is likely to meet and eventually have sex with another man (or men, as the case may be.)

Rick Drake acts as our narrator taking the viewer from one steamy situation to the next. And believe me, the scenes get steamier as the video progresses. Starting with pretty mild solo sex en-counters like phone sex and on-line computer sex (which appears to be where Mr. Ab-dul spends his free time), the video glides through the bar scene and thenquickly jumps into cruising adult video stores. This is where the real action begins.

This video store may not be like the one in your neighborhood, unless you live in West Hollywood. Not only is it amply supplied with a vast array of Forum videos, it also has Karl Thomas and Josh Sterling cruising the aisles. Needless to say, they find each other and wind up back in a kitchen to fulfill each others' desires. (Ed Note: in all of these scenes, Forum advocates taking the sex to private surroundings. Public sex is dangerous and illegal.)

Following the Video Store segment, Drake walks us into what he calls his favorite endeavor: leather. "Leather is an attitude" is the thought that prevails over those involved with this genre, and it is apparant with a lot of leather licking, harness pulling, master/servant role-playing fun. Plus, there is a great armpit licking sequence. This may be mild for some of the more hardcore enthusiasts, but it is just about right for us amateurs. Of course, the sight of Rip Stone, Rick Drake, Colt Morgan, and Vince Rockland all dressed in leather of various degrees may convert some of you over.

Next comes the strippers. Shot in a very crowded and popular local club, the stripper segment looks like something off a hardcore, gay rave MTV. This scene jumps from a bad ass teasing stage performance in front of a live audience to the story of a guy who likes to pick up strippers. Guess what? He does! The action moves from the club to the living room as stripper and client enjoy what they both do best. This is an excellent sex scene that culminates in one of the most animalistic and enthusiastic cum groans that this reviewer has ever heard.

If you have never seen a live strip performance by professionals, then this scene alone is worth the purchase of the tape.

After cooling down from the hot pump and grind of the strippers and the more private intimacies of the couple, Forum takes us into the more vanilla side of things: meeting a guy on the street. No, this is not about hustlers. This particular scene requires a dog. Anyone who lives in a predominantly gay community will tell you that a dog really is man's best friend because he helps you meet other guys who want to pet your puppy, so to speak.

Brian Maxx and Shawn Adams show the viewer how to turn an otherwise boring afternoon into a passion filled day of wanton lust. Don't worry, though, the puppy goes bye-bye when the clothes come tumbling off these two young studs. Of all the scenes, this one seems to have the most chemistry between the two stars. It is the kind of afternoon delight that will make all of us run out and start cruising the pet stores for bait.

Finally comes the coup de grace, the gym sequence. After listening to J. T. Sloan and Jesse Tyler describe their love of working out and their other reasons for going to the gym, we eventually get to the coupling that we have been anxiously waiting for: Tom Katt and Marco Rossi. Meeting each other in the shower, the two size up their assets and decide to make a go of it. (I think Marco is the luckier of the two!)

For someone as hugely buff as Tom Katt, it is amazing how limber he is. Playing bottom to Marco's top, the two engage in a sex scene that is passionate, exciting, and well worth the wait. It is the perfect scene for the video to close on.

As we have come to expect from Forum Studios, How To Get A Man In Bed is very well done. Sound and lighting are great, the story line is fluid with good narrations (and a sense of acting ability) from Rick Drake. (Who, by the way, is removing more and more clothes between each scene.)

However, some of the real credit must also go to the video editor who created some of the best segues you will ever see in a video of any kind. They are on par with the Home Improvement scene change segues. This is definitely a video that took determination and a sense of pride to produce.
