Fist Fest was filmed during the Red Hankies of San Diego (RHSD) Annual Fist Gathering in Palm Springs, California. Fist Fest is an international event attended by more than 200 men each spring. The filming was done entirely in real time while the action was taking place. The participants are not professional paid actors but actual fisting aficionados who were in attendance and who agreed to appear on camera while showing off their skills in the ancient art of handballing, more commonly known as fisting, in an effort to show what real fisters do when they gather together with men of like interests.
