Dear Dick (DVD)

It's always wonderful when a flick turns out to be as inspired as this one. In "Dear Dick," based on the real-world Unzipped magazine column of the same name ( http://Unzipped.net ), Lance Landers is a sex adviser who answers mail from horny readers. It's a premise that may sound formulaic, but as directed by Mike Donner it's exemplary.

Sitting at his computer, cute as a button Lance estimates that he gets a hundred or so e-mail questions a day from his readers, mostly gay men. And just when he thinks he's heard it all, he gets one that makes him realize he hasn't.

Lance reads about a guy who has had sex with a buddy's boyfriend in the bathroom. In "Toilet Tramp," Brian Hancock, a gruff-looking brunet with tattoos and a hairy face, enters the loo to find brunet slim-goodie Sandy Sloane naked. Brian pretty much attacks Sandy, and they kiss with passion as Brian hungrily explores every inch of Sandy, letting Sandy slide his dick into his gaping mouth. Sandy is very animated here, and after he has been sucked, he promptly goes to work on Brian, and is served a rowdy face-fuck. Brian then turns Sandy around and glides his tongue all over and up his ass. Sandy then pokes his little bum out in anticipation just before Brian fucks him -- the chemistry is palpable as they smooch up a storm. Brian's dick finds its way inside Sandy, in a couple of positions, but the scene ends with a surprise twist. Director Mike Donner has done himself proud with "Dear Dick." The sex scenes aren't rushed, he allows ample time for the intensity to build, and it's blessed with Lance Landers' presence. Sexually, he is very exciting, and quite adorable in his non-sexual performance, too, exuding confidence and charisma.
