Money can buy a lot- cars, sex, and good times. But when that just isn't enough, it's time to play with people's lives. The results can sometimes be deadly. It's about two step-brothers who have had everything except the virgin- and each other.

Stuffed with enough plot to fill four porn films, "Carnal Intentions," based on "Cruel Intentions" based on "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" is an example of a flick exceedingly well written but also very sexy. With a cast of dependable vets to make sure the sex sells. The story here, told in long interesting twisting scenes, does not overwhelm, but stays equal to the sex at all times. The hook is that the Donovans are "brothers" (actually step-brothers), harking back to that never-tiring 80s fantasy of the brothers getting it on.

Tony Donovan, as boyishly handsome as ever yet now sporting braces that change the whole look of his face, is one of the sexually rapacious brothers, a real player who delights in telling of his cheap conquests to his drooling psychiatrist. In a first scene ending with a giggly twist, Tony recounts a night in a limousine spent seducing someone else's boyfriend, the shy handsome Evan Taylor, thankfully not shorn of his meticulously clipped chest hair. The whole scene takes place in a limo, which is usually a hindrance but here makes the scene crackle. The lack of space does nothing to dampen the energy of these two guys. They hump a great deal before Evan finally gets Tony's famously massive cock out of his pants and sucks a whole lot of it. Boy, does he stretch to take a lot of it! Especially given the confines, the blowjob is a winner, with Evan slowly revealing his own body and sizable dick. Tony then gets to return the volley, making sure he doesn't leave an inch of the dick left unwetted. This is even more impressive given the sideways position he is forced to adopt, with Evan having to throw his leg up through the sunroof to make it work. However, when Jake goes to suck on Drew, the latter seems oddly soft at times, though Jake is up there on this video's team of worthy deep-throaters. The blowing is kept to a minimum and then Jake gets to pound Drew's perched ass, which throughout the scene has been up in the air and ready for it. The anal action isn't as smooth as previous scenes, but Jake stays focused on fucking, and the power heats up steadily throughout, despite some friction here and there. You could take a breather after this many scenes, but the plot has a while to go yet. They are a cute couple, mainly because the ever-dependable Brad Benton is a fine porn actor. They start to kiss, but when Tony grabs for Brad's dick, the latter runs off again. Tooling away from the heartache, Tony gets into a soap-opera car accident and as Brad spills goofy tears on him, dies. Well, Brad is so upset that he runs off to attack Chad, but is met instead by little Lark. The two of them decide to get Chad back for all he's done, so they hire hooker Max Grand, a good choice for any plot twist, to lure Chad into a webcast of their own. Chad falls for it. This scene is obviously slapped on the video to give Chad something more to do, and frankly it's a letdown after so many other great scenes. There is a lack of chemistry between them, though both are professional players. Max's famous dark dick is the first recipient of an excellent blowjob, with Chad not letting size or thickness get in his way. He slurps it down with impressive skill, matched in that skill when Max deep-throats with him in a 69. Max is on fire, as always, but nearly silent and strangely unobtrusive. Max's plump ass gets to take in Chad's enormous dick, and of course he does so with customary facility. There is a lot of fervor, but Max seems to be performing for the camera and Chad just for himself. Yes, the dick gets in there and close-ups are great, so the fact that Chad should be the one getting fucked for the plot won't get mentioned.

The story pretty much ends there. It's well told with expert writing, and a wonderful familiarity with the source material. As usual, Odyssey has spent a fortune on this production, from the opulent linens to the dazzling poolside locales. The story runs out of gas at the end, after the death of a main character, but that's of little import when the guys left are as hot as they are. Not one guy in this video can be described as anything less than hunky, and even the less exciting scenes have a great flair and a pacing that don't allow them to sag too much. The original story, one of the lewdest ever, is porn-ready, and I'm glad that a team of plot-interested porn types were the ones to film it. They get both the plot and the sex extremely right.
